About this job

How we approached it.

Brick wall built up with piers on a damp-coursed base, then rendered to a clean white silicone finish. Four steps got the render right once the structure was up.

  • 6mm stop beads and corner beads set just above the DPC line — ready for the basecoat
  • Two basecoats applied with reinforcing mesh embedded in the second — eliminates the risk of cracking
  • Two coats of primer — preps the wall to take the silicone topcoat evenly
  • Silicone texture applied and floated twice — uniform smooth finish across the panels
